Aquatic Instructor/Lifeguard
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible to the Supervisor, Aquatics and Programming for teaching and evaluating all levels of the municipal aquatic programs and guarding all recreational swims.
Assist with the coordination and supervision of all recreational programs and implementation of staff training. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the aquatic facility.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
- Must possess a minimum of a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
- Must possess a minimum of 2 years recent related experience in the field;
- Must possess and maintain all necessary aquatic certifications (Lifesaving Swim Instructor, Lifesaving Instructor, National Lifeguard, Standard First Aid CPR / AED Level C (by training agencies approved by the Ontario Ministry of Labour or the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care), CALA Aqua Fitness certificate or equivalent);
National Lifeguard Instructor / Examiner, Lifesaving Instructor Trainer, Bronze Examiner, Standard First Aid Instructor / Examiner and bilingualism will be considered an asset.
