Your key responsibilities

As a TTT - Manager, you will be part of a team that works with companies across various industries such as financial services, energy, consumer products, manufacturing, technology, communications and entertainment to improve end-to-end business processes driving tax performance.

You’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating TTT projects, leading and teaming with talented and innovative professionals dedicated to client service.

Core elements of the role include

  • Developing responsive organization tax operating models and metrics and assisting clients in identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Optimizing processes impacting Tax that will drive improved business outcomes across multiple tax domains, such as corporate tax, indirect tax, and international tax.
  • Designing effective and controlled tax processes, with enabling technologies, to increase efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Implementing technologies that enable business performance, including working with upstream financial systems and downstream tax technology tools.
  • Working with finance and IT teams to increase the tax-relevancy of financial data in ERP systems, , SAP and Oracle, and in financial close, consolidation and reporting tools , Hyperion and BPC.
  • Managing expectations, ensuring outstanding client service and timely deliverables through continuous interaction with clients and EY project teams.
  • Anticipating and identifying risks within engagements and raising issues with senior members of the team.
  • Leading within and contributing to a culture that is flexible, dynamic, and team oriented.
  • Fostering an environment of continuous development and positivity.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant discipline.
  • 4 or more years’ relevant work experience including A minimum of 2 years’ Canadian corporate tax experience gained in industry or at a professional services firm.

Experience optimizing tax processes by supporting and or implementing tax solutions.

  • The ability to facilitate workshops to assess tax processes and systems along with a natural ability to articulate and present solutions and service offerings to C-suite and tax leadership.
  • An efficient and highly organized approach enabling the management of multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills with an interest in motivating and developing staff.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and ideally, experience drafting presentations and proposals.
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following : tax software products such as Hyperion Tax Provision, Longview Tax or OneSource tax data and reporting requirements for ledger, planning and consolidation systems, such as SAP, Oracle, BPC, Hyperion, etc.

The ability and willingness to travel within North America up to 20% of the time.
