Senior Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview

Our client is an engineering consulting firm looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer to join their team in Vancouver, BC on a permanent basis.

Further Responsibilities Include :

• Design piping systems and mechanical equipment for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and equipment selection to ensure system integrity and performance.
• Produce engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using design software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems into overall project designs.
• Manage project resources, including budget, schedule, and procurement activities.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
• Support procurement and construction activities, resolving technical queries and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operation phases.
• Optimize system performance and reliability through maintenance planning and troubleshooting assistance.

Ideal Candidate Experience :

• 5+ of experience working on heavy industrial projects
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Registered as a P.Eng with EGBC
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas and tailings projects is an asset.
