Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Burlington, Canada. As an RN, you will provide high-quality patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and modify patient care plans
- Operate and monitor medical equipment
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans
- Respond promptly to emergency situations
- Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and support nursing students and new staff members
Qualifications
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated clinical nursing experience
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in operating medical equipment and monitoring devices
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Physical stamina to perform duties throughout extended shifts
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated emotional resilience and stress management capabilities
Additional Information
Hours : Monday to Saturday - days and evenings, 8 and 12 hour shifts, (hours subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary : $39.07 to $56.00 per hour
