What You Bring

Experience : You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house setting, preferably in a corporate or commercial role and / or securities regulatory work, with a desire to learn the asset management industry.

Familiarity with document management processes and software applications are an asset. Organization and order are a passion for you, not simply a skill.

Knowledge : You have an undergraduate degree in a related field and / or are a graduate of a recognized Paralegal Program in Canada (or equivalent).

Ability to review simple legal agreements for red flag issues and make suitable revisions (NDAs, simple amendments, corporate resolutions etc.) is an asset.

• Collaborative Communication : You possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills and are able to comfortably and confidently communicate with lawyers and tax advisors on corporate legal matters.
• Technology : Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
• Innovative : Demonstrated ability to take initiative, analyze processes and recognize opportunities for improvements. You are a self-starter with a learning mindset.
• Positive Attitude : A positive team player with a strongly ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
