Our client is seeking a dynamic Technical Consultant to lead and support various IT applications initiatives, with a primary focus on managing and providing server support for self-service products such as Alteryx, Tableau, and UiPath.

The Technical Consultant will be assigned to multiple projects and application support initiatives, including BCM, Iteraplan, and other cloud applications.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of backend server technologies and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business users and address their needs.

This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including System Administrators, Technical Consultants, Solutions Architects, Enterprise Architects, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Business Managers.

The Technical Consultant will support applications, fulfill service and project requests, and uphold operational SLAs.

Work location : Downtown Toronto

Duration : 6 months

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

Client Management Activities

Host semi-annual self-service user conference meetings.

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support IT systems and processes.

Work with business managers independently to discuss self-service applications and provide tailored support.

System Specific Operations :

Design, install, configure, maintain, and enhance IT software and hardware systems according to corporate and security standards, focusing on defined areas of expertise.

Troubleshoot and maintain IT systems to enhance reliability, capacity, and performance.

Provide specialized server and system support for Alteryx, Tableau, and UiPath solutions.

Manage and administer various IT applications to ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction.

Apply programming skills in SQL, Python, Java, .NET, Shell Scripting, and Batch Scripts.

Operate within Windows, Linux, and AIX environments with expertise.

Ensure systems meet security and business requirements through application patching.

Project Management

Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to develop and support IT systems.

Support IT system design, development, testing, deployment, and upgrade activities, ensuring

alignment with business goals.

Lead IT governance for self-service applications such as Alteryx, Tableau, and RPA solutions.

Identify and implement improvements to IT services, systems, or processes to drive increased

efficiency and effectiveness.

Apply knowledge of ITIL and SDLC processes to maintain best practices in IT service management.

Exhibit creative problem-solving abilities and an innovative approach to IT challenges.

Apply strong system design principles and experience in integrating platforms such as WebSphere AIP, IBM Integration Bus, IBM ACE, and MOVEit.

Apply strong data design principles and experience in Database platforms such as Netezza, MS SQL Server and Oracle.

Operational Activities

Provide prompt support and respond to service outages and incidents to minimize operational disruptions.

Perform administrative tasks associated with the role, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Implement measures to track and report on performance achievements.

Demonstrate a commitment to safety in all aspects of the role.

Work effectively within a team environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Understand device communications, including TCP / IP, PSTN, and wireless mesh networks.

Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex IT issues.
