About Our Programs :

The Faculty of Education offers two cohort-based graduate-level counselling psychology programs, which are in high demand, and are approved programs with the College of Alberta Psychologists.

This includes the blended-delivery Master of Counselling (MC) program, as well as an on-campus Master of Education (MEd) Counselling Psychology program.

Position Details :

Areas of instruction include : · Counselling Theories and Their Application to Client Change· Foundational Counselling and Conflict Resolution Skills· Counselling Strategies and Interventions· Group Counselling and Process SkillsCourses are offered via blended delivery with online course work in May and June being supplemented by face-to-face components on campus, in Lethbridge, for a week in July.

Stipend per course is $6,709 (Sessional Lecturer I) to $7,020 (Sessional Lecturer II). Candidates could be invited to teach two courses.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology (minimum requirement) o Doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology (preferred) · Registered Psychologist status· Minimum 5 years clinical practice experience (preferred) · Ability to teach practice-oriented coursesThe ability to teach in online, face-to-face, and blended formats, and the ability to integrate innovative technology into teaching will be an asset for this position.

Experience designing and teaching courses in the above mentioned areas would be an asset. Position Category
