Job Description
On site position
Techo-Bloc is seeking an IT / Application Support Technician with a dynamic, curious and go getter personality to work on a stimulating role where 50% of the time will be spent working as an IT Technician supporting end users on computer related issues and the other 50% of the time will be spent working on ERP related issues (AX 2012 / D365 and other business applications).
The successful candidate will be collaborating and working alongside a team of 10 + team members located in Canada and US.
Main responsibilities :
IT Technician (50%)
- Provide technical support for users;
- Identify, monitor and document troubleshooting activities in the Help Desk system;
- Develop and update the inventory of workstations, laptops, printers and all other peripheral equipment in the Help Desk tool;
- Install, configure, and optimize workstations, laptops and peripherals;
- Test ’patches’’ and ’fixes’’ to ensure that the problem is adequately resolved and ensure the follow-up with the user;
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies and projects.
AX Application Support (50%)
- Provide support and assistance to Dynamics AX end users;
- Work with end users on all functional modules and provide desktop coaching and training on procedures and apps as needed;
- Collaborate with the IT Systems Development team to facilitate communication and understanding of business processes and system functionality;
- Update AX documentation;
- Perform Security Administration and set up for Dynamics AX.
Qualifications
- Ability to learn and analyze business processes and requirements;
- Post secondary education in a related field or equivalent certifications and / or work experience;
- Bilingual (English is required in order to service our customers and suppliers based in the United States and outside Quebec);
- Two (2) years relevant experience in a Microsoft environment (Windows and Office365);
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Great problem-solving skills;
- Relevant Dynamics AX experience, a plus;
- Dynamics 365 experience, a plus;
- Experience in using a Help Desk solution.
