IT Support Technician
The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River (MD) is currently seeking a temporary full-time IT Support Technician. The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing an effective and reliable information system environment for the MD.
The IT Support Technician will utilize their knowledge and experience to provide both reactive and proactive desktop and mobile communication device support for our local and remote staff as well as for MD Council.
Position Responsibilities
Duties may include (but are not limited to) :
- Provide technical support with hardware, software, internet, configurations, print
- Responsible for maintaining and keeping the MD’s communication systems running with minimal downtime
- Maintain inventory of internal licenses and track compliance recommendations in areas of responsibility
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Technical degree or diploma in Information or Computing Science, or equivalent skill gained through at least 2 years of experience in systems support
- CompTIA A+ / Network+ certification preferred
- Direct work experience in an IT support capacity is an asset
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft products including Office 365 administration
- Experience in technical support and / or training is an asset
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License
