The Purpose of the Role
We are hiring an experienced Content Marketing Strategist to work in tandem with our Demand Gen Manager, to help scale Social Nature’s B2B brand and content marketing to attract more health & wellness brands to our digital sampling and consumer insights platform.
When a natural / organic brand is looking to launch new products and acquire new customers, we want them thinking of Social Nature!
We are a lean marketing team with big dreams, that hires rockstar talent that helps us get to where we want to go quickly.
If you have a track record of creating content that helps businesses build their brand online and grow top of funnel leads, then we want to hear from you.
While this is a 16 month maternity leave contract position, there is potential for a permanent position following the contract end.
Your day to day will be producing great content that gets B2B marketers to click to learn more. One day you might be interviewing our brand customers for a case study, another day you might be developing a 7 touch email sequence to 5 different customer segments to convert and nurture leads, and on another you might be developing a presentation deck, ad copy and landing page for a webinar we are hosting.
Some days you might be getting new consumer insights and data from the community team to share in our B2B marketing and others you might be working with the product team to develop key messages for our new product launch.
In between this, you are thinking of ways to simplify our brand positioning and brand communications so that all of our content is singing the same tune.
To be successful in this role, you must be a quick synthesizer that can take a creative idea and turn it into 3 different pieces of content, easily adapt your writing style to the tone, persona and distribution channel, and have experience in B2B marketing communications - we are marketers selling to marketers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the content production workflow and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors to produce high quality content across digital channels.
- Support the demand generation strategy by writing copy and creating content for email, Linkedin, webinars, ad copy and blog posts in an effort to build our brand and sell more of our services.
- Learn the needs, drivers and pain points of all of our key buyer personas in every stage of the buyer journey.
- Produce personalized content for different personas and customer segments, A / B test content to learn what works, and build out content sequences across the customer journey.
- Research, interview, and produce impactful Social Nature brand and customer stories in a variety of formats (email, case study, Linkedin posts etc) that capture the attention of our target B2B audiences.
- Create SEO-supporting content for our blog that helps drive traffic.
- Document our brand voice and create a written style guide; educating team members across the organization in order to maintain brand consistency across all content.
- Be an internal champion of our go-to market messaging for new product launches; working with our demand gen, sales and product teams to test new messaging.
What you will need to succeed in this role
- 3-5 years of experience developing content that builds B2B brands and attracts leads
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
- Excellent copywriting and copy editing skills, with a strong background in B2B email marketing
- Experience creating content for various digital channels including email, Linkedin, website, webinar landing pages, ad copy etc.
- Experience in content strategy and execution across the entire B2B customer journey
- Prior experience managing content production freelancers (videographers, creative designers etc)
- Naturally curious and independent self-starter
- Collaborative spirit that works well with others
- High level of attention to detail, including a proven ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience with HubSpot, SEMrush, and Wordpress is ideal
- Knowledge of Account Based Marketing principles and platforms (DemandBase, 6Sense, Engagio) is a bonus
