Accounting
- Prepare and enter journal entries and maintain the general ledger for the company’s corporate entities.
- Perform quarterly reconciliations and analysis of all accruals and balances.
- Research, recommend and apply changes in relevant Canadian GAAP. Cash Management
- Assist in preparation and monitoring the timely and accurate payment and collection of invoices.
- Perform cash flow analysis, forecasting and budgeting of the Corporate group.
- Administer bank wiring instructions, cash deposits and reconcile bank statements Financial Reporting
- Prepare timely quarterly and annual financial statements, including note disclosure, in accordance with Canadian GAAP.
- Assist with the annual audit of Corporate financial statements, as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of working papers to facilitate compliance reporting (e.g. GST / HST, Income Tax, FATCA, CRS, etc.).
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual GST / HST returns.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly variance analysis
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of ad hoc and routine department and management reporting. Operations
- Assist with maintenance of vendor records and resolve vendor related issues
- Prepare and review invoices and expense allocations to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee and process intercompany reimbursements
- Identify opportunities and support initiatives to further evolve processes, strengthen controls, eliminate inefficiencies and improve scalability.
- Assist teammates and other teams within the Finance Group on recurring duties and projects, as necessary. About You
- An undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Professional Designation (CPA) preferred.
- At least 3 years Accounting experience. Salary Range
$85,000 - $90,000 / year
