This role is pivotal in managing and leading industrial shutdown projects across Canada. The ideal candidate will be deeply invested in mentoring and training personnel, with a profound respect and understanding of Indigenous cultures and the nuances of working with Indigenous individuals.

Key Responsibilities : Project Management : Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of industrial shutdown projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and supervise a diverse team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Onboarding and Training : Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including project kickoffs and on-the-job mentoring, with a strong emphasis on safety and operational excellence.

Cultural Sensitivity : Apply a respectful understanding of Indigenous cultures in all aspects of work, promoting an inclusive and collaborative project environment.

Safety and Compliance : Ensure all project activities comply with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all staff.

Stakeholder Engagement : Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and community representatives, to ensure alignment and project success.

Qualifications : Proven experience in industrial shutdown supervision or a similar role in industrial trades. Strong leadership skills with a passion for training, mentoring, and developing personnel.

Knowledgeable in mechanical, industrial cleaning, vessel entry, and safety watch practices. Excellent understanding of Indigenous cultures and experience working with Indigenous communities.

Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across diverse geographical locations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
