iMarketing is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a 12-month assignment to cover a maternity leave.

Location : Hybrid WFH / Toronto Office

As a Payroll Specialist at iMarketing, you will support our business's 280 Canadian and 20 U.S. employees.

You are a hands-on, entrepreneurial, and organized payroll professional with strong multitasking and communication skills who can meet tight deadlines.

What you can expect as our Payroll Specialist at iMarketing :

  • You will process and reconcile weekly and biweekly payrolls for all salaried, hourly, and commission employees using our HCM system - PDS Vista.
  • You will handle all government payroll-related reporting and remittance requirements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll obligations.
  • You will support managers and employees with payroll-related questions.
  • You will maintain electronic employee payroll records.
  • You will provide payroll-related analytics and reporting regarding employee recruitment and payroll trends.
  • You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that benefits and payroll services are delivered at best practice standards.
  • You will identify areas of improvement within the payroll process and lead the implementation of new payroll processes and systems.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise :

  • You have at least one year’s experience in a lead payroll role in a full-cycle payroll position, including processing payroll for hourly employees.
  • You possess excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • You have a solid working knowledge of Excel.
  • You have your PCP designation and an understanding of statutory employment rules, laws, and internal policies and have applied, effectively communicated, and enforced them for stakeholders.
