What you will do
- Effectively engage cross functional teams to drive Site environmental objectives and initiatives forward.
- Complete Regulatory Reporting activities within assigned area of responsibility ( Air, Water, Waste, etc.)
- Provide Environmental stewardship to Site Management
- Participate in Environmental risk assessments to support Capital Project development and Site management of change activities to ensure compliance with corporate, site and regulatory requirements
- Actively participate in Environmental and Regulatory networks and industry committees
- Develop and manage programs to meet environmental and regulatory requirements and objectives
- Support communication with provincial and federal regulators, as well as community engagement activities
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Science or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of previous environmental and regulatory support or advisory experience
- Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental regulations applicable to industry in Ontario
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, team environment, fostering collaboration within the organization, and also engage as an individual contributor
- Ability to critically evaluation situations and apply sound judgement to develop recommendations
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Commitment to safety on and off the job
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results
- A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are requirements for certain positions
- Fluency in French is an asset for certain positions; please note in your cover letter if you are fluent in French
