What you will do

  • Effectively engage cross functional teams to drive Site environmental objectives and initiatives forward.
  • Complete Regulatory Reporting activities within assigned area of responsibility ( Air, Water, Waste, etc.)
  • Provide Environmental stewardship to Site Management
  • Participate in Environmental risk assessments to support Capital Project development and Site management of change activities to ensure compliance with corporate, site and regulatory requirements
  • Actively participate in Environmental and Regulatory networks and industry committees
  • Develop and manage programs to meet environmental and regulatory requirements and objectives
  • Support communication with provincial and federal regulators, as well as community engagement activities

About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of previous environmental and regulatory support or advisory experience
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental regulations applicable to industry in Ontario
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, team environment, fostering collaboration within the organization, and also engage as an individual contributor
  • Ability to critically evaluation situations and apply sound judgement to develop recommendations

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required for the role
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, results-oriented individuals who are energized by working with people and by achieving superior results
  • A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are requirements for certain positions
  • Fluency in French is an asset for certain positions; please note in your cover letter if you are fluent in French
