About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations the Database Administrator (DBA) will have and maintain a very sound knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and other popular databases, the DBA is responsible for maintaining, updating, and managing databases and the information that is stored within them, while ensuring compliance of pertinent regulations and procedures.
The DBA will assist and provide guidance and best practices in the creation of Views, appropriate indexes, and SQL queries.
The Database Administrator will ensure that the data is safe, efficiently organized, and accessible.
What You Will Do Here :
The DBA is responsible for :
- Installation and updating SQL and Oracle installations.
- Monitor and optimize database performance.
- Plan for backup and recovery of database information.
- Maintenance of database storage structures.
- Manage data security and ensure 21 CFR Part 11 compliance for database systems.
- Collaborate with development team to promote databases into production, create and optimize views, SQL statement, stored procedures, etc.
- Analyze and modify database structure when necessary.
What You Will Need to Succeed :
- DEC in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Developer background a definite plus
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understand the department’s problems to find convenient solutions.
- Demonstrate exceptional organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to interact with business partners at all levels of the organization to collect and document integration requirements.
- Excellent customer service and ability to work collaboratively with others.
