Job Summary

We areseeking a Pipelines Corrosion Engineer to join the Northern AreaCorrosion & Inspection Division (NAC&ID) under the NorthernArea Technical Support Department (NATSD).

The NATSD providesengineering support for the Northern Area Oil Operations withspecialized engineering and technical knowledge across variousdisciplines.

This support aims to maximize profitability whileadhering to the highest standards of safety and environmentalprotection.

Responsibilities :

• Develop Pipelines Corrosion IntegrityManagement Plans (PCIM) for operating facilities as per ThisCompany and international standards.
• Developimplement and maintain corrosion mitigation plans for operatingpipelines through chemical treatment (corrosion inhibitors scaleinhibitors biocides oxygen scavenger etc.

• Conduct corrosion mitigation andintegrity reviews to optimize inspection and corrosion programs tomaintain integrity.
• Carry out failureinvestigations and provide recommendations to prevent failures andimprove the integrity of field piping and pipelines.
• Develop maintain and optimize OnStream Inspection (OSI)programs for field piping.
• Support facilityimprovements by reviewing design packages for potential and newprojects and providing comments related to corrosion monitoring andmitigation plans including material selection installation ofCorrosion Monitoring Systems (CMS) chemical treatments CorrosionRisk Management and OSI.
• Collaborate withinspection teams during plant shutdowns and turnaround inspections(T&I) for evaluation of internal and external corrosion issuesand coating assessments.
• Work with inspectionteams on all corrosion and inspection programs related to fieldpiping and pipelines such as OSI programs dead leg programs IOWKPIs etc.

Requirements :

• This role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
• Shall hold a Bachelorsdegree in materials metallurgical chemical mechanical corrosionengineering or an MSc in corrosion engineering.
• Shall have NACE Pipeline Corrosion Integrity Management(PCIM) Technologist certification NACE Internal CorrosionTechnologist certification or NACE Senior Internal CorrosionTechnologist certification.

NACE specialist certifications would beconsidered advantageous.

• Should have a minimumof 15 years experience in the oil & gas industry with at least5 years experience in pipelines inspection corrosion and integritymanagement including Inline Inspection (ILI) data evaluation anddirect assessment examination.
• Must haveknowledge of internal and external corrosion mechanisms common toupstream oil and gas pipelines and corresponding pipeline corrosionintegrity management.
• Must have knowledge ofcorrosion mitigation techniques (coating cathodic protectionchemical inhibition material selection scraping) and corrosionmonitoring techniques (coupons probes onstream inspection inlineinspection etc.).
• Must be familiar withgovernment regulations and industry codes and standards (NACE APIASME etc.) specifically regarding pipeline integrity.
• Must have working experience reviewing pipeline inlineinspection data fitness for service corrosion mitigation programsand integrity management development.
