Job Summary : We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our wood flooring store team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing outstanding customer service within the store and outside while engaging with developers, builders, designers, and architects to support our sales efforts and foster business relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

• Greet customers and assist them in selecting wood flooring options that meet their needs and preferences.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding product specifications, installation processes, and maintenance of wood flooring.
• Conduct product demonstrations and showcase samples to clients, highlighting features and benefits.
• Collaborate with developers, builders, designers, and architects to understand their project needs and provide tailored flooring solutions.
• Assist in preparing quotes and proposals for commercial and residential projects.
• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling payments and managing cash receipts.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring all displays are well-stocked and reflect current promotions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals to enhance referral opportunities and sales leads.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about new products, industry trends, and sales strategies.
• Handle customer complaints and returns professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in retail or sales, preferably in the flooring or construction industry, is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and industry professionals.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and calculating quotes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems is a plus.

Working Conditions :

This position may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of flooring samples and products.
