The Communications team is elevating its strategies in linking residents and visitors to the City and Tourism Regina. We're on the lookout for our next Digital Strategy Advisor to join our growing team to spearhead this priority!

Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital landscape for both the City of Regina and Tourism Regina.

Your responsibilities will include developing social media campaigns, managing online platforms, and ensuring consistent messaging across all digital channels.

You'll have the exciting opportunity to develop and implement cutting-edge strategies that elevate the City brand and drive awareness of our programs, services and attractions.

Key Duties :

  • Develop, implement, and lead social media content plans, aligning content with strategic goals for Tourism Regina and the City of Regina departments and divisions.
  • Lead Tourism Regina and the City of Regina events marketing strategies (tradeshows, conferences, roadshows, webinars)
  • Maintain and oversee Tourism Regina and the City of Regina’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and identifies strategies to add new channels.
  • Provide leadership in brand, marketing, events, and digital strategy.
  • Manage graphic design and visual identity standards.
  • Formulate cross-platform social and paid media strategies.
  • Meet with community representatives and stakeholders to plan programs and services.
  • Develop and oversees a Centre of Excellence for all digital communications.
  • Measure and report on performance targets and statistics related to brand and marketing, set goals and KPIs for marketing and communications efforts.
  • Participate in various corporate committees and initiatives to support strategic approaches.
  • Other related responsibilities.

Key Knowledge :

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing innovative digital marketing & social media management and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Knowledge of project management principles for leading projects.
  • Knowledge of branding principles and ability to communicate brand identity effectively.
  • Proficiency in developing social media content plans aligned with strategic goals.
  • Skill in managing online brand awareness, reputation, and social media profiles across various platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability in setting goals, KPIs, and leading cross-platform social, paid media, and events marketing strategies.
  • Understanding of copyright and privacy laws related to digital communications.

Key Qualifications :

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, with a focus on digital communications, brand management, and strategic planning.

Preference to those with direct government / municipal work experience.
