Sound interesting? Then come and join our global team as a Senior Implementation Specialist to be mainly responsible to assist in the management of Atellica, Automation and Informatics Implementations for both the pre- implementation and implementation phases of these projects.

In addition, the IPS will support Atellica & Automation Implementations by providing installation automation workflow recommendations and support change management practices, outlined in the project plan during the implementation.

As a Senior Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for :

Pre-Implementation duties will include :

  • Responding to Atellica & Automation RFP requests
  • Conduct on-site space evaluations with the goal of providing automation layout recommendations.
  • Production of AutoCAD layouts for review by the HCS / PM
  • Completion of Atellica & Automation configuration and order forms for review by the HCS / PM.

Implementation duties will include :

  • Run Atellica & Automation project as the lead PM.
  • Participation in the generations of project work-breakdown-structures and project schedules.
  • Participation in the on-site communication and coordination of various aspects of project execution.
  • Monitoring of process change requirements.
  • Participating in PDCA (plan do check act) cycles.

Pre-Installation workflow assessment duties will include :

  • Conducting on-site HCS workflow assessments specific to processes linked to the automation system being installed.
  • Formulation of recommendations for process changes that will optimize the automation system workload.
  • Additionally, the IPS may be required to monitor and report on the progress of any change management practices that have been identified in the project plan.

  • Above average organizational and communication abilities
  • Working closely with project sponsors, process owners and subject matter experts to develop and deploy implementation plans and other project tools
  • Establishing project metrics and improvement targets
  • Driving projects to completion and monitoring effectiveness of solutions
  • Managing project resources within each project's triple constraints of scope, schedule, and budget
  • Always being readily prepared to communicate and present project status

Required skills to have for the success of this role :

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience in external client facing healthcare environment
  • LEAN Certification would be considered to be an asset
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or similar designation
  • Bilingualism English / French language : The successful candidate for this position must be bilingual. Fluency in French and English (verbal and written) is required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position for the following reason(s) :
  • The role requires interacting with English-speaking customers and suppliers across Canada and / or internationally;
  • The role requires regular interactions with Siemens colleagues based outside of Quebec, nationally and internationally;
  • The role requires using software or technology that is available only in English;
  • Experience with MS Project, and other Microsoft office applications. A familiarity with construction drawings and practices is a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with stake holders.
  • Person should be able to travel to off-site project locations and have a valid drivers license
  • Ability to travel extensively (Domestically and Internationally) without restriction
  • Valid passport
  • Travel time is around 25%-35% of time on project sites across Canada.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint.
