Eramosa a CIMA + Company is looking for a Senior IT / OT Network Architect with experience in the industrial field.

Eramosa works with clients in the Water, Wastewater and Renewable Energy sectors. CIMA+ works with many clients in the fields of electrical utilities, mining, transit, healthcare institutions plus many others.

We are looking for a Senior Network Architect who will be able to design or review existing network architectures, analyze their weaknesses, propose solutions, and ensure their successful implementation.

The candidate should have good knowledge in layers 1 to 4 of the OSI model as well as in virtualized, physical or cloud server infrastructure.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working directly with Eramosa’s clients. He / she will :

• Leverage his / her experience to analyze the client’s needs and recommend solutions
• Assist with defining and leading various consulting engagements
• Design network architectures (LAN / WAN) in line with current needs and best practices
• Review existing network architectures and recommend solutions as needed
• Clearly and comprehensively document the architecture and solutions implemented
• Apply good cybersecurity practices
• Perform the design of IP network infrastructures and servers, physical, virtual and cloud including the preparation of plans and specifications
• Actively participate in the configuration, installation and implementation of IP networks and server infrastructures physical, virtual and cloud
• Support projects under construction in both a technical and administrative role
• Mentoring of junior team members
• Assisting with the development of proposals
• Acting as technical lead on projects
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Develop and maintain relationship with existing and new clients

Profile

• Minimum of 8 years in Operational Technology (OT) network experience
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering or equivalent
• Previous experience designing and implementing network architecture (LAN / WAN), server, physical, virtual and cloud
• Expert level knowledge in working with a variety of communication media including copper, fibre, radio, cellular
• Excellent understanding of Industrial Communication Protocols such as Modbus, DNP3 and GOOSE
• Experienced with technical report writing
• Previous consulting experience and / or experience supporting multiple customers
• Broad networking experience including :
• Architecture design
• Layer 2
• VLAN. trunking
• LACP, Spanning Tree, PRP
• Timing synchronization (IEEE 1588, IRIG-B)
• Layer 3 (Routing)
• OSPF, BGP
• Layer 4 firewall rules
• Expert level knowledge of the following software : VM Ware, Hyper V, Windows Operating Systems, Ubuntu Linux, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Microsoft 365 and other software products and applications
• Expert level knowledge and experience with Cisco, HP and other manufacturer products
• Knowledge in the following fields would be considered an asset :
• Backup and recovery as well disaster recovery solutions
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and solutions
• Knowledge of cloud computing environments, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS
• Experience working with AutoCAD
• PLC and SCADA systems
• IT / OT convergence
• Wi-Fi, microwave, and other wireless networking technologies
• Industrial networking protocols (OPC, AMQP, MQTT, REST / JSON Interface)

Certifications

Having one or more active industry related certifications such as the following would be considered an asset :

• CCIE
• CCNP
• RCDD
• Fortinet NSE
• CISSP
