Job description

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Cage Operations, this position is responsible for the counting and movement of cash assets from the gaming floor while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadians learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Working in a team, you will conduct a Cash Drop each morning. Once completed, you will proceed to Count duties.
  • Organizing and securing the storage of count carts, drop boxes, drop buckets and bill cartridges for count pulls
  • Must be able to bend and lift 15-20 lbs repeatedly. (Cash boxes on slot machines are low to the ground)
  • Counting bills, coins and cash equivalents
  • Reporting suspect cash and cash equivalents
  • Verifying and reconciling before and after counts
  • Bagging, bundling, securing and transporting counts
  • Providing information for reporting purposes
  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Building strong working relationships with internal and external guests
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  • Must be able to bend and lift 15-20 lbs repeatedly. (Cash boxes on slot machines are low to the ground)
  • Maximum shift flexibility. Shifts are 8 hours in length, starting 4 : 00AM, 5 : 00AM, and 6 : 00AM. Schedules will vary; must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays)
  • Must be able to obtain AGCO Gaming certification - Category 2
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in high volume cash handling and counting.
  • Customer service driven
  • High School Diploma
  • Work Environment Considerations

  • Back office environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours
