Job Description
Our specialized project management team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Project Estimator to join us. In this role, your main function will be to prepare all cost estimates for materials, labour and equipment, for a multitude of industrial, transportation or construction projects.
You will have the opportunity to work in the Montreal or Laval area (home office of your choice).
We offer a flexible hybrid work model, enabling you to work from home and from one of our offices.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret plans and specifications
- Evaluate the production time and resources required for each project
- Methodically analyze cost differences between several options
- Draft the basis of estimate report
- Communicate and liaise with stakeholders, consult with them and prepare studies
Qualifications
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in the field of estimating
- Certified member of AEÉCQ
- Certified member of Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS)
- Knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Quoterplan, PlanSwift or On-Screen Takeoff)
- Proficiency in spoken and written French
- Good command in spoken and written English
- Ability to read blueprints and manipulate 3D models
