If so, I'd love to hear from you! My client is a well-established and reputable automotive repair facility dedicated to providing top-quality collision repair services on Manitoba Public Insurance Claims, looking for an Automotive Estimator to join their growing team!

As a Collision Repair Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the repair process by providing accurate estimates for collision damage and helping customers navigate the insurance claims process.

You will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing detailed repair estimates, and communicating with customers, insurance companies, and their team of technicians to ensure a smooth and efficient repair process.

Permanent Position

Schedule : Monday to Friday daytime

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000 per year (Based on experience and certification)

Responsibilities

As an Estimator for this local Auto body shop, a typical day would include :

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to assess damage and identify repair requirements.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software, Mitchell Connect.
  • Communicate with customers to explain repair estimates, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to negotiate estimates and advocate for our customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, parts orders, and repair progress.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure timely and efficient repair processes.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, repair techniques, and manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

What do you need for this position?

  • Prior experience as a Collision Repair Estimator or in a related role within the automotive repair industry, prior work experience on vehicles is critical, as you are taking apart vehicles to complete the estimates.
  • Red Seal Certification is a great asset.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software from Mitchell
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, and professionalism.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized for a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims processes is a plus.
  • I-CAR certification is a plus.
