Job description

Job Description – Reception / Administrative Support

Location: 322 Main Street, Steinbach, MB
Duration: May 11, 2026 – June 19, 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16/hour

Position Overview:
The Community Planning branch is seeking a reliable and organized individual to provide administrative and reception support. The successful candidate will assist with front desk operations, customer service, data entry, payment processing, and general office administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and provide reception support
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
  • Receive, record, and process payments accurately
  • Organize and prepare bank deposits
  • Track subdivision applications using Excel and CPS databases
  • Perform filing and digital archiving of documents
  • Support day-to-day administrative operations as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Experience handling cash and preparing deposits
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database entry
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Work Environment:
This role is office-based within the Community Planning branch and requires professionalism, confidentiality, and strong customer service skills.
