Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring a motivated and committed Safety Advisor for our Airdrie branch. This is a field position, therefore travel will be required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 year’s experience working within the construction industry.
Techmation works on a variety of industrial oil and gas construction and maintenance projects throughout Western Canada.
As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term industrial projects with well-established and reputable clients.
Requirements :
- NCSO Designation is required
- Considerable experience working within the construction industry (minimum of five years)
- Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation (Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Certificate) is considered an asset
- Previous management experience is an asset
- Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia WCB
- Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia OHS Legislation
- Familiar with CSAZ460
- Familiar with CSAZ462
- Candidates must have valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals and Driving & Journey Management certificates
- Must have a flexible work schedule - shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel
- Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
- Able to work with little to no supervision
- Must have effective time management skills
