VP of Sales Role & Responsibilities
Well-capitalized startup seeks extremely talented VP of Sales to grow construction sales to $10 million in two years. You must have experience in strategizing, problem solving, and rapidly closing large sized sales in a fraction of the time that most consider possible.
Top-notch communication skills are essential. You should have a bachelor’s degree or master’s in business administration, marketing, sales, or equivalent.
Familiarity with construction methods would be helpful but is not necessary.
Must be willing to relocate to the Ontario area.
Compensation will include meaningful equity ownership and sales commission.
Mission for VP of Sales :
To grow construction sales revenue to $10 million in two years by signing high-value residential and commercial construction projects, achieving award rates of 70% - 80%, and building a top-performing sales team.
Set up processes with the estimating department to improve sales tracking and customer acquisition, while cultivating repeat business and strategizing for growth.
Outcomes :
- Increase Construction Sales Revenue from $1.0 Million to $3.0 Million in 6 Months.
- Acquire 6 High-Valued Customer Leads in Residential or Commercial that Request for Quote.
- Achieve a Project Award Rate of Greater than 60% from Generated Leads for 6 Month Outcome.
- Hire 1 Sales Manager using Company Hiring Method.
- Determine 3 Mission Critical Requirements needed for Sales Success.
- Collaborate with Estimating Department to Optimize Sales Efforts & Tracking Metrics.
- Increase Construction Sales Revenue from $3.0 Million to $5.0 Million by End of Year 1.
- Acquire 4 High-Valued Residential Customer Leads that Request for Quote.
- Acquire 4 High-Valued Commercial Customer Leads that Request for Quote.
- Achieve a Project Award Rate of 80% from Generated Leads that Achieve Year End Outcome.
- Plan & Create Year 2 Sales Strategy Presentation based on Objective and Present to CEO.
- Increase Construction Sales Revenue from $5.0 Million to $10 Million by End of Year 2.
- Hire 2 Sales Managers using Company Hiring Method.
- Sales Team to Acquire 20 New High-Valued Customers for Residential or Commercial Projects.
- Achieve a Project Award Rate of 90% from Generated High-Value Leads.
- Gain 5 High-Value Repeat Customers by the End of Year 2.
- Prepare Year 3 Sales Strategy and Objectives for following year with CEO.
