REPORTS TO : Chief Operating Officer
GENERAL PURPOSE :
The Vice President of Human Resources provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the University’s Human Resource Operations.
He / She / They holds the responsibility for crafting and executing a comprehensive global HR strategy. This encompasses the establishment of HR policies, processes, infrastructure, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all HR functions, including recruitment, learning and development, performance and compensation, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.
In collaboration with the Executive Leadership and extended leadership team, the Vice President of Human Resources will cultivate a cultural identity within the organization tied to our values and mission.
Their goal is to foster a productive, engaging, and motivating organizational environment, grounded in a growth mindset and driven by continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global HR strategy.
- Develop and optimize HR policies and day-2-day processes.
- Establish a technology-based employee management infrastructure to enable workforce planning and analysis.
- Establish strong performance management along with a focused learning and development program
- Establish and support a lean approach to recruitment and onboarding that enables speed and productivity.
- Develop and nurture a cultural identity, a productive, engaging and motivating organizational climate.
- Develop an internal communications strategy to ensure that employees are informed and aligned with key business priorities.
- Assume responsibility for labor laws and employee relations globally.
- Act as an internal consultant for management and employees to anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues consistent with the policies / practices, legal considerations, and university priorities.
- Partner with the Executive team and the Strategy & Planning department on identifying and planning for key capabilities needed to support our future growth plans.
- Develop and manage annual HR budgets and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
- Partner with relevant offices to lead all aspects of internal communications on a global basis.

Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree - Master preferred, in Human Resources, Business or related field
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written English
- Previous experience working for a large global company.
- Management experience of a team of at least 10 employees
- Knowledge of local and international Human Resource Processes,
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Knowledge and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all aspects of HR management including recruitment, training, compensation, promotions, etc.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Great interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
