The successful incumbent will hold two positions : (1) Chief of Staff and Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee, reporting to the Board of Directors;

and (2) Executive Vice President, Medical Affairs, reporting to the President and CEO.

As the Chief of Staff (COS) / Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), the successful candidate will collaborate closely with Physician Chiefs to foster a culture where NH professional staff can excel in patient care, while upholding NH core values.

They will provide leadership to NH’s professional staff, including credentialed physicians, midwives, and dentists. They will be directly accountable to the Board of Directors for matters concerning medical quality, in accordance with the Hospital’s Professional Staff By-laws and relevant provincial legislation.

With a clear focus on the patient experience, the COS will enable Physician Chiefs to drive innovation, modernization, and quality.

As a pivotal member of the executive team, the Executive Vice President, Medical Affairs (EVP) will oversee strategic and operational corporate initiatives as they relate to professional staff.

They will be accountable for the operations of Medical Affairs and oversee quality improvement and utilization improvement initiatives.

The EVP will partner with academic institutions to support and grow medical education at NH.

Through clear objectives and expectations, the successful candidate will ensure the performance, quality of clinical care, and adherence to the hospital's professional standards.

They recognize the critical importance of role modelling accountability, respect, quality, and professionalism.
