Gensler’s Office is seeking an Architectural Technologist . You will be responsible for initiating the technical solutions to best meet the client and design briefs within the sector.
You will be experienced in handling the technical process for interiors and architectural project types, with excellent communication and team relationship skills, and the ability to understand and interpret client, designer and contractor’s needs and requirements.

Your Role
As a Gensler Architectural Technologist , you are the team member primarily responsible for the documentation of the project through close collaboration and coordination with the Project Architect and Design Manager.
You will tap into your boundless creativity to design unique Critical Facility environments, providing technical support for completion and execution of projects, through all project phases.
What You Will Do
Coordinate modeling and documentation activities / responsibilities with assigned project team
Coordinate and execute modeling and sheet assembly workflows in Revit to generate milestone document sets for projects
Work with design team in Bluebeam to pick-up markups, revisions, and changes in project documents
Work in BIM360 environments to coordinate modeling efforts with engineers and other project consultants
Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
Prepare fully-coordinated, technically accurate and code compliant construction documents
Manage project activities with respect to established project timelines and schedules
Operate across multiple projects simultaneously working in diverse teams to deliver major projects in the Critical Facilities Sector
Experience creating or modifying specifications preferred
Construction Administration experience preferred
Your Qualifications
Strong proficiency with Revit required can perform all Revit tasks necessary to create a complete document set
Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Design or related field; Registered as an Architectural Technologist AIBC preferred
Minimum 5+ years of related experience as an Architectural Technologist / Job Captain working in the Architectural field
Knowledge of local building codes, AHJ requirements, standards and building structures
Experience in the delivery of Critical Facilities, specifically Data Centers an advantage
Familiarity / Skill with CAD, Rhino, Enscape, Navisworks and Construction Administration software preferred
Must be local to the Metro Vancouver area
The base salary will be estimated between $65,000-85,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
