The Senior Business Analyst, Financial Systems & Workflows will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Systems & Workflows, in the Investment Finance & Valuations division.
This is a key player in bridging the gap between IT and business operations, providing comprehensive analysis, insights, and support for business decision-making and strategy development.
This role is particularly focused on Investment Finance & Valuations, requiring a deep understanding of finance applications, business analysis support, experience with creating and maintaining project artifacts, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to support and enhance financial systems and workflows, with a keen desire to explore new technologies and implement innovative solutions.
Core Responsibilities :
Develop an in-depth understanding of the business uses of finance applications and workflow processes crucial to our business.
Providing proactive business application workflow support to users, guiding them towards achieving business objectives.
Leading business analysis for defined projects and initiatives, including identifying automation opportunities and refining workflow designs.
Managing project tasks including research to roll-out, including documentation of business requirements, integrations design and implementation, testing, application upgrades, and user training.
Developing test plans and cases, implementation plans, workflow solutions, controls, and standards within applications, ensuring all requirements are covered.
Supporting users in developing new reports and resolving reporting and data issues within finance applications, enhancing our finance application's utility and functionality.
Providing problem-solving, troubleshooting issues, and consulting support for finance applications as the challenges arise.
Developing clear procedures and user manuals for process workflows and applications.
Delivering informative and engaging presentations and training to end users.
Working cross-functionally within the organization to facilitate the roll-out and ongoing support for enhancements and upgrades to business solutions.
Liaising with application vendors and Data & Technology to plan for and facilitate new or upgraded applications.

Communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear, accessible and understandable way.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, demonstrating a track record of delivering results within the finance sector.
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, or a related field.
A master's degree or specialized certifications such as CPA, CBAP or PMP is an asset.
Experience with alternative investment applications (eFront, Investran, SimCorp) is preferred.
In-depth experience in defining, implementing, and supporting alternative investment financial solutions, along with an understanding of alternative investments.
Demonstrated project and organizational skills, with experience in maintaining and implementing finance related solutions and applications.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, along with VBA.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective team dynamics and collaboration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to facilitate the creation and implementation of solutions aligning with the division’s objectives.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
