Certified Utility Arborists (CUA) British Columbia
Wright Canada Holdings Ltd, operating as Wright Tree Service of Canada, is seeking qualified CUAs for various positions in various locations within British Columbia.
These are permanent, full-time positions with highly competitive hourly wages, benefit package, as well as an employee ownership plan.
Responsibilities Include :
- Assign, instruct, and direct tree trimmers, equipment operators and groundworkers
- Trim and / or removes trees by climbing with the aid of a ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or work from the ground using saws / pruners
- Removal or trimming of trees and brush encroaching onto utility or transportation rights of ways
- Assume responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment
- Ensure on-the-job safety practices are followed by all crew members
- Perform other job-related tasks as required or assigned
Requirements include :
- Valid Certified Utility Arborist designation or ability to challenge BC skilled trades certification
- Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing
- Adheres to safety requirements and ensures crew members are working safely
- Ability to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
- Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions
- Valid drivers’ license
