The Role :
Black's Pub is looking for a General Manager to join our team ahead of the busy summer season. Join a team that's as lively as the hill!
Black’s Pub is known for its exceptional food, service, and atmosphere, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for providing an unforgettable mountain experience.
As the General Manager of Blacks Pub, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
You will guide a dedicated team, nurturing a positive work culture while driving performance and maintaining our reputation as a premier destination in Whistler.
Responsibilities :
- Full sales & product knowledge
- Schedule and managing a team; including recruitment, training and development, coaching and discipline management
- Attend and contribute to regular operations meeting focused on profit and revenue, labour and employee feedback
- Daily inventory to ensure the business is set up for success for the following shift
- Liquor license compliance
- Champion internal feedback and hook up programs
- Marketing and event execution
- Uphold Gibbons Core Values
Requirements :
- Experience in hospitality is essential.
- Marketing / Sales background is an asset
- Guest experience focused involving growing and supporting community connections
- Administration and computer skills, including but not limited to : Microsoft products, POS, employee timekeeping programs.
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Strong communication skills and ability to react calmly to challenging and stressful situations
- Serving It Right certification
- First Aid (or willing to acquire)
Salary and Team Perks :
- $65,000 - $80,000 annual salary based on experience and qualifications.
