Tapley's Neighbourhood Pub is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join the team!
Since 1981, Tapley's has been the go-to spot for locals in Whistler looking for a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy good food, drinks, and sports.
Dubbed the "locals living room," Tapley's has established itself as a favorite among residents and visitors alike, with daily features and weekly events such as bingo and quiz nights!
We are looking for a passionate candidate who shares our love of sports, guest experience, and mountain culture. You will be highly motivated and driven, with a strong focus on building community connections and providing exceptional service to our guests.
As the Assistant General Manager, you will ensure all the smooth running of the floor and all games are shown on time, while also mentoring and managing your team to success.
Core responsibilities include :
- Uphold Core Values : Have Fun, Encourage Trust, Show Kindness, Lead with Purpose & Commitment to Excellence
- Quarterly Marketing & Event execution
- Full sales & product knowledge
- Schedule and manage a high performing team
- Staff training, ensuring the team understand the programming and targets for the day including product knowledge
- Shift inventory to ensure the business is set up for success the following shift
Required :
- Hospitality / Marketing / Sales background
- Events management experience highly regarded
- Guest experience focused involving growing and maintaining community connections
- Administration and computer skills (Microsoft products, POS, employee timekeeping programs)
- Strong communication skills and ability to react calmly to challenging and stressful situations
- Serving It Right (or valid equivalent)
- First Aid (or ability to acquire)
Salary and perks :
- $55k - $65k salary based on experience
