The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for day to day administration of HR processes. This individual will also support the HR Management Team in the planning and implementation of programs / processes around employee relations / performance management, talent acquisition, talent management and organizational development.
The HRBP will provide skills and knowledge in the coordination and execution of local and global HR programs, and other initiatives as needed.
What You Need to Know :
- Serve as Canada’s HR partner with leadership teams to develop and execute initiatives that drive business strategies
- Facilitate process between employees and leadership to discuss and resolve performance and conduct issues
- Effectively support employee relations and encourage engagement (resolve employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations)
- Ensure Company procedures and policies are consistently and appropriately applied
- Understand Canada business priorities, context, issues and challenges to recommend and implement real business solutions to drive performance and achieve results.
- Work with Canada leadership on the Performance Management and annual Talent Planning process to include succession planning, employee development and potential rating.
- Assist Talent Partners with onboarding of new hires
- Facilitate STA & LTD process between employees and third party organization.
- Assist with annual Global Team Survey Process and follow up with Management and Teams in area of responsibility.
- Ensure appropriate support and work with the payroll team located in the US and ensure record keeping for Canada that meets related statutory requirements.
- Institute and facilitate record keeping and performance practices that meet employment-law and regulatory standards. Insure that such records are secure, complete, timely, and appropriately accessible.
- Ensure Canadian Health & Safety committee operates as per labor guidelines. Direct adherence to the compliance standards of law, local codes, and related regulations that govern the safety and security of the employees and the facility.
- Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Stay current with key Canadian provincial laws and regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary company information.
- Assist with any other corporate events as necessary
What We Are Looking For :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience with minimum 2 years as HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role (Concurrent).
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of core areas of Human Resources (i.e., talent management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, recruitment, leadership development, etc.).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HR laws, requirements and regulations for Canada.
- CHRP or similar designation preferred.
- Fluent in both English and French preferred.
