Role and Objectives :
The Financial Analyst, under the direction of the Controller, is responsible for providing analysis, financial / cost accounting and reporting while identifying areas for improvement.
Responsibilities :
- Monitoring and analyzing budget variances.
- Cost analysis and reporting
- Review, analyze and report on inventory valuation, raw materials, WIP, direct and indirect labor, overhead costs, and related variances.
- Ensure proper financial controls are in place to minimize risk.
- Responsible for any ad-hoc reports including the tracking of key trends on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, and capital spending initiatives.
- Assist in the ongoing development, data accumulation and reporting of Key Performance Indicators required for decision making and achieving the Company’s Strategic Goals.
- Assist in preparation of month end reporting and quarterly reporting.
- Analyze various P&L line items to identify associated impact of short-term and long-term goals of the site and organization.
- Supporting the annual operating budget and capital budget and financial forecasting process
- Support year-end audit and reporting.
- Preparing, analyzing, and summarizing a wide variety of financial information.
- Assisting departments in administering their financial planning, budget and forecasting activities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance margins and improve working capital.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Commerce
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in finance, ideally with a manufacturing background
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
- Strong financial data analysis skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and relevant accounting software
- Experience working within an ERP System considered an asset.
- Ability to provide financial advice and guidance to non-financial departments or teams.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
Working Conditions

- Desk work, with interruptions and an expectation of ability to refocus quickly.
- Constant finger dexterity and ability to hear, and talk, and possess depth perception.
Compensation Package :
- Salary : 75,000.00 100,000.00. Dependent on experience
