What we are looking for :

Under the supervision of the VP, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the organization's financial decision-making processes.

Primary responsibilities will be to provide in-depth financial analysis, forecast modeling, and strategic insights to aid in achieving the company's financial objectives.

You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the finance team, executive management, and department heads, to ensure accurate financial reporting and to drive business growth and profitability.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Public Markets Finance team.

Your responsibilities :

  • Financial Planning and Forecasting :
  • Lead the development of comprehensive financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans for the organization.
  • Work closely with business units to understand their financial needs and objectives, aligning financial plans accordingly.
  • Monitor and analyze actual financial results against forecasts, identifying and explaining variances to management.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting :
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide meaningful insights into business performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Prepare regular management reports and presentations that communicate financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other relevant metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Business Performance Evaluation :
  • Evaluate the financial impact of strategic initiatives, new projects, and business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess potential investments and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Financial Modeling and Decision Support :
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support scenario analysis, capital allocation, and resource optimization.
  • Provide decision support to management by conducting sensitivity analyses and presenting the potential impact of various business decisions.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting Process Improvements :
  • Continuously review and enhance the forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and advanced analytical tools to streamline financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis and Special Projects :
  • Support the Finance leadership team in ad-hoc analysis and special projects to address specific business needs and challenges.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA (level I or II) nice to have;
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a corporate FP&A setting;
  • 5+ years post-qualification relevant experience;
  • Financial Services Sector Experience (Asset Management, Investment Banking or Financial Consulting firm);
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic macros / v-lookups / sum-if etc.);
  • Knowledge of the accounting software SAP;
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques;
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations;
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality;
  • Ability to develop an overall vision;
  • Good organizational skills and autonomous;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders;
  • Familiarity with financial best practices, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.

  • Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 3 days in-office per week
