Staffing Coordinator, Temporary Call In

Definition of Work :

Reporting to the Regional Manager of Staffing, the Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for the assignment of staff for the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Carmelite House, the New Long-Term Care, Hope Valley Center, and Queensway Building, Grand Falls-Windsor.

Duties will include coordinating and developing schedules for a variety of departments, approving requests and assigning relief for all types of leave.

They will be responsible for inputting bi-weekly payroll, as well as being available to do on-call on a rotational basis.

The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.

Required Qualifications :

• Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
• Three-year business management program approved by Central Health.
• Applicants with a nursing background may also be considered.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Consistent demonstration of Central Health's corporate values; Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Stewardship and Quality.
• A satisfactory record of performance and attendance is required for this position.
• A satisfactory certificate of conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
• Computer skills such as Excel, Word, etc.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Work experience in the health care system, particularly in the area of human resources.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the health care collective agreements.

Hours of Work : Call as Needed (Shift work may be required)

Salary : CG-27 ($24.98-$27.63) non-union, non-management
