Headquartered in Vancouver BC, our client, a growing Real Estate Developer, seeks a Vice President, Development to spearhead a 10-year, Commercial Mega Project;

a full-service enterprise consisting of retail, office, and hotel. As an established Real Estate Developer our client boasts decades of experience in Real Estate Investment, Rental Properties, and Land Development as well as a keen eye for identifying lucrative and unique investment opportunities.

Reporting directly to the Chairman and BOD, the Vice President, Development will provide overall project oversight including but not limited to : Development Management, Project Management, Construction Management.

Vice President, Development Primary Job Duties :

• Provide development expertise to the project, including project oversight : Development Management, Project Management, Construction Management
• Liaise with Municipal Authorities and Public Stakeholders to mitigate political and public liabilities
• Act as Primary or Secondary Contact for all City correspondence pertaining to Project
• Manage Disclosure Statement process
• Ensure all applications (Rezoning, DVP, DP, BP, etc.) are being processed and are proceeding according to schedule
• Internal Project Communications
• Participate in Consultant Selection
• Conduct Project Management duties such as Budgeting (Development Pro Forma), Project Timelines, Site Inspections, Contract Review and Management, and Project Administration functions
• Procure Investors
• Investor Relations and Communications
• Facilitate and Manage Construction Financing requirements

Vice President, Development Requirements :

• Development Management experience of Commercial Properties
• Expertise in Pro Forma creation and management abilities
• Demonstrable experience with permitting agencies
• Strong working relationships with Financial Institutions and Lenders
• Fluency in reading Architectural and Engineering Plans for Commercial Real
• English language Fluency mandatory, Mandarin language skills an asset
