BURNCO is embarking on a transformative technology journey, and we need an innovative Cybersecurity Analyst to secure our course.

Reporting to the Manager, Cyber Security, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our company’s data, information and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Threat Monitoring and Detection : Continuously monitor network traffic, system logs, and security events to identify and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response : Detect, analyze, and respond to security breaches and incidents swiftly and effectively.
  • Risk Assessment : Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security risks and implement appropriate measures.
  • Security Protocols and Compliance : Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Security Awareness : Educate and train employees on cybersecurity best practices and emerging threats.
  • Technology Integration : Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the integration of security measures in all aspects of the business.
  • Reporting : Prepare and present detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance status to management.

Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related experience. Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience : Proven experience in a cybersecurity or IT security role, with hands-on experience in incident response, threat analysis, and security risk assessments.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS / IPS, antivirus software, and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Knowledge : Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cyber threat vectors. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Analytical Skills : Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and act decisively under pressure.
  • Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player : Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience with specific technologies used at BURNCO (., SAP, Salesforce)
  • Understanding of Zero Trust security principles and secure-by-design approaches.
  • Advanced certifications in cybersecurity or related fields.
