JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Shipping Receiving Associate to join our growing team.

Shipping / Receiving Associates work as part of a team to load and unload merchandise from carriers and receive goods in detail while checking the quantity and quality of merchandise. This individual is required to be licensed to use powered forklift which may be used when loading and unloading trucks and moving freight from receiving to designated staging areas. A successful candidate must have a high level of work commitment, attention to detail and the ability to learn and follow procedures.

Position Responsibilities :

• Loading and unloading merchandise using designated equipment
• Receiving special orders as well as stock replacement
• Identifying and reading vendor packing slips, carrier shipping documents, UPC labels and other documents and comparing to purchase orders to ensure accuracy
• Counting carton freight and merchandise to satisfy freight bill
• Following appropriate procedures to ship and receive transferred merchandise
• Researching shipment / paperwork discrepancies and resolving scheduling or delivery issues / conflicts
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Moving freight from receiving to designated staging areas using the appropriate equipment and communicating with the Shipping Team to ensure merchandise is optimally staged
• Cleaning and maintaining shipping and receiving areas (e.g. removing pallets and cardboard boxes from the floor, clearing area to make room for new merchandise)
• Provide additional help in our Packaging, Slab Door, and Moulding departments when required
