Event Support Staff

Our client, a well-established Sweets & Restaurant, is seeking an Event Support Staff to join their team. As an Event Support Staff, you will be part of the Customer Experience team supporting event operations for a special Diwali Mela event. The ideal candidate will have a customer-first mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, helping deliver a welcoming and memorable festive experience for all guests.

Job Title: Event Support Staff

Location: Brampton, ON

Pay Range: $18.00/hour

Shift: Wednesday & Thursday (Nov 4th & 5th): Training 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM OR 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM; Friday, Saturday & Sunday (Nov 6th – 8th): Event Days 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

What's the Job?

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner throughout the Diwali Mela.
• Provide information about authentic Indian sweets, snacks, and menu items to help customers make informed choices.
• Handle customer inquiries and guide customers with product selection.
• Assist with order taking, packaging, and maintaining presentation standards.
• Support the team in creating a welcoming and festive Diwali experience.

What's Needed?

• Familiarity with Indian sweets, snacks, and festive traditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base in Punjabi, Hindi, and English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous customer service or retail experience is an asset.
• Reliable availability for all event days.
