At Distribution Stox, we're building more than a sales team. We're building the future of Canada's automotive wheel and tire business.

As part of our continued growth, we're seeking an experienced and passionate sales leader to join our Ontario Leadership Team as Senior Sales Manager. This is an opportunity to lead, coach and inspire a team while playing a key role in one of the most exciting growth phases in our company's history.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Sales Ontario & National Major Accounts, the Senior Sales Manager leads a team of approximately 4–6 Territory Managers across the region, helping them achieve their full potential while driving profitable growth, operational excellence and outstanding customer experiences.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people just as much as developing business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately 4–6 Account Managers through regular field coaching, one-on-one development and joint customer visits.
  • Drive profitable sales growth while improving gross margin, customer profitability and market share.
  • Develop annual business plans and regional growth strategies.
  • Increase customer share of wallet by expanding tire, wheel and complete solution opportunities.
  • Partner with National Accounts to support dealer groups, strategic customers and future OEM initiatives.
  • Champion strategic programs including the RSSW Wheel Program, mounted wheel and tire solutions, StoxWeb and Business Intelligence.
  • Use data and KPIs to coach performance, identify opportunities and improve execution.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with National Accounts, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Pricing, RSSW and Business Intelligence to execute key initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in B2B sales, business development or account management, including at least 3 years in a sales leadership or team management role.
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, sales, marketing or a related field is considered an asset. A combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in the tire, automotive, wheel, distribution or a related industry is considered a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop a field-based sales team while fostering accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of sales planning, territory management, customer profitability, gross margin and business development strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealer groups, strategic accounts and internal business partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data, market trends and KPIs to identify opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and digital sales tools; experience with Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data and prepare clear business presentations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach and strong execution discipline.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Pricing, National Accounts and Business Intelligence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, with a valid driver’s licence.

What Success Looks Like

  • Building a high-performing, engaged sales team.
  • Developing future sales leaders.
  • Growing profitable business while improving customer satisfaction.
  • Increasing market share and customer loyalty.
  • Driving execution of strategic company initiatives.
  • Creating a culture where accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement thrive.
