Our Evo Car Share team is hiring a Regular Full-Time Parts and Repair Technician!

This is an on-site position based at our Burnaby Evo location (3067 Beta Ave). Applicants must currently live within commuting distance of this location or be willing to relocate to British Columbia. Those who do not meet these requirements will not be considered for the position.

As a Parts & Repair Technician, you’ll ensure our Evo vehicles are safe, ready and available for British Columbians, ensuring a high-quality member experience throughout. You’ll provide outstanding technical support for a fleet of vehicles distributed throughout Vancouver.

Who you are:

  • You love automobiles and have a passion for the future of the car sharing economy.

  • You’re handy and comfortable using simple electronics and power tools.

  • You easily establish relationships with partners and team members.

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

  • You love to learn new skills and knowledge.

  • You take the initiative to coordinate your time and handle contending priorities while working independently.

What you bring:

  • Grade 12 education with proven experience in the mechanical, automotive, or collision trade.

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the automotive, rental car, or collision industry.

  • Communication or telematics experience.

  • Proven technical automotive experience configuring and installing parts, accurate documentation abilities, and quality assurance processes.

  • A clean drivers abstract, annual renewal required.

  • Familiar with Vancouver geography.

  • Bonus skills and experience!

  • Experience in a startup environment.

  • Level 1 or 2 automotive or electrical apprenticeship or an equivalent program.

Once here, you’ll:

  • Acquire, transport, and dismantle total loss vehicles, catalog parts accurately using fleet software.

  • Handle parts removal, storage, and delivery to repair vendors, while assisting with EVO-specific parts and supplies required by Field Staff.

  • Conduct Batcave repairs, maintain collision and storage areas, update repair triage, and support In-Field Tech tasks.

  • Advise on mechanical repair quotes and coordinate with repair coordinator and vendors on recommended labor and effort times.

  • Perform internal replacement car infleets, including decal removals and installations.

  • Plan, implement, and maintain storage systems for Batcave and collision areas.

  • Assist in troubleshooting vehicle problems, performing minor repairs, and maintaining electric batteries.

  • Work with managers to document, test, diagnose, and repair in-vehicle telematics, damages, and perform light maintenance tasks.

The salary range for this position is $56,605.68 to $70,757.04 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.

Shape your future with us. We’ve got you covered.

  • Every day, our team members get to make a difference in the lives of British Columbians, our BCAA Members and their communities. Having that kind of impact is exciting, positive, and contagious.

  • At Evo Car Share, we pride ourselves on empowering our team members to do great work. We enthusiastically support all learning and growth opportunities.

  • Career advancement and personal development programs are available to help you reach your full potential, no matter what that means to you.

  • You’ll receive a wellness account and Flexfits Benefits Program to meet your unique lifestyle needs and a health care spending account to keep your body, mind and soul thriving.

  • You’ll receive a competitive rewards package that includes salary, performance bonus programs, pension plan as well as other perks and programs to help build your personal wealth.

  • You’ll become a BCAA member, with access to the great deals and discounts that go along with it.

  • We’re named one of Canada’s Top Employers for 5 years in a row with a constant focus on how to create a better workplace for all our team members.

  • And…time flies when you’re having fun at Evo!

We’re always looking for amazing people like you. Apply today.
