The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter of Indigenous engagement, reconciliation, and institutional transformation. This includes the strategic implementation of the Indigenous Strategic Plan, fostering meaningful change, and strengthening relationships with Indigenous communities, students, faculty, staff, and partners. The role also involves championing Indigenous student success, providing academic leadership in indigenization, and ensuring that the institution's policies and practices align with the diverse realities of Indigenous peoples. The ideal candidate will have a strong Indigenous identity and lived experience, preferably connected to local communities, and a background that includes an earned doctorate or equivalent experience.
