The HR team is currently recruiting for a Lead Advisor, Psychological Health & Wellbeing, an exciting new role at FNHA that will play a key part in supporting employee wellbeing across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to join FNHA at an important time and help lead the development and implementation of innovative policies, programs, and initiatives that promote psychological health and wellbeing for all employees. Working closely with the Manager, Psychological Health & Wellbeing, the successful candidate will support the integration of the CSA Z1003 National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) in the Workplace within FNHA. The role will focus on advancing a respectful, inclusive, and psychologically safe workplace through employee education, resource development, and proactive, holistic health and wellbeing initiatives. As a brand-new position within the organization, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on employee experience and workplace culture.

Title: Lead Advisor, Psychological Health & Wellbeing
Salary: $91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:30am - 4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Anywhere in BC – (Hybrid – 2 days in office) (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027 if successful candidate is in the Metro Vancouver area.

About The Role

As Lead Advisor, Psychological Health & Wellbeing, you will serve as FNHA’s internal consulting resource for PHS - designing, implementing, and evaluating PHS systems and services; building leader/team capacity; and advancing a respectful, psychologically safe workplace through culturally safe, trauma and resilience informed approaches. Scope aligns to the Ministry/HA’s “Lead/Specialist PHS” profile (system design, OD consulting, training, change, interested party engagement, and continuous improvement). You will report to the Manager of Psychological Health & Wellbeing and will be part of the Wellbeing team which includes the Occupational Health Nurse and the OHN Clinic.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have –

Education, Occupational Certification, & Experience

  • Master’s in Psychology, Organization Development Leadership, Adult Education, Behavioural Science (or related)
  • 5+ years’ related experience; healthcare experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Psychosocial risk factors & CSA Z1003 (National Standard); OD theory; group facilitation; leadership/team development; adult learning; conflict and project management; governance/policy awareness; strong digital fluency
  • Proven ability to embed CS&H within a PHS system.; Apply trauma and resilience informed practice; address racism and stigma in policies/training; and evaluate culturally safe outcomes.

Knowledge and Ability

  • Commitment to cultural safety & humility; anti-racism; equity, diversity & inclusion; and working in a way that supports First Nations self-determination.
  • Preference may be given to qualified Indigenous applicants in support of FNHA’s mandate.
  • Hybrid office/community travel (including remote communities); extended screen time; periods of high intensity around implementations, engagement cycles, and reporting windows.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
