Marshall Land Systems requires a Head of Operations – LVM for an 8-month term in Moncton, NB to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing a successful transition from engineering to production for the LVM program. The role is focused on ensuring the activities to close out the engineering design, achieve design acceptance, mobilize supply chain activity and achieve initial production delivery.

Working closely with the key functions including Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Production, as well as the LVM Program Management Team, the role will ensure operational readiness and drive execution to deliver on commitments for the LVM program.

Your responsibilities in this role:

• Oversee day-to-day operations to achieve LVM delivery objectives.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to improve delivery and achieve schedule adherence.
• Ensure efficient utilization of labour, equipment, facilities, and materials.
• Monitor schedules and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Ensure operational readiness to mobilize and sustain LVM production in line with schedule.
• Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet contractual delivery commitments.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting operations.
• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Apply if you have most of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of operations leadership experience in defence sector.
• Minimum 5 years managing operations within a production environment.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, APICS/CPIM, or equivalent are considered an asset.
• Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
