Job description

Project & Process Engineer

Location: Moncton, New Brunswick (On-site)

Help Build the Future of Sustainable Manufacturing

Ready to engineer products that make a difference—and build a career you're proud of?

At Dizolve, we're transforming an everyday household product through innovation. As one of the world's leading manufacturers of eco-friendly laundry detergent sheets, we've grown from our roots in New Brunswick into a company whose products are used by customers around the globe.

We're looking for an ambitious Project & Process Engineer who is excited to solve real-world problems, lead meaningful projects, and make a visible impact from day one. If you're motivated by innovation, continuous improvement, and the opportunity to help build the next generation of manufacturing, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is ideal for an engineer early in their career who wants exposure to every aspect of manufacturing—from automation and process optimization to new product commercialization and capital projects. You'll work alongside experienced leaders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain the kind of hands-on experience that accelerates careers.

Why Join Dizolve?

At Dizolve, engineers don't spend years working on the same project or maintaining existing systems. Here, your ideas are welcomed, your contributions are recognized, and you'll have opportunities to see your work come to life on the production floor. You'll join a collaborative team where curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement are part of our everyday culture. As we continue to grow, so do the opportunities for our people. Whether you're launching your engineering career or looking for your next challenge, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact while helping build products that support a more sustainable future.

What You'll Do

As our Project & Process Engineer, you'll work across virtually every area of the business. No two weeks look the same, giving you broad exposure to manufacturing, automation, process development, equipment design, and new product launches.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead capital projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • Support the scale-up of new products from laboratory development into commercial manufacturing.
  • Improve manufacturing processes by identifying waste, bottlenecks, quality opportunities, and productivity improvements.
  • Develop equipment specifications, layouts, and process improvements to support business growth.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contractors, vendors, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to successfully execute projects.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and develop practical engineering solutions that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Participate in equipment selection, installation, validation, and startup activities.
  • Develop engineering standards, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot complex manufacturing and equipment issues.
  • Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization while driving positive change.

What We're Looking For

We're more interested in your potential than simply the number of years on your résumé.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another related engineering discipline.
  • Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible for registration with Engineers New Brunswick.
  • Approximately 2-7 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, co-op placements, internships, or relevant industrial environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work directly with operators, tradespeople, suppliers, and senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • A hands-on mindset—you enjoy being on the production floor just as much as working behind a computer.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, process improvement, or capital projects is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and 3D CAD software is beneficial.

You'll Thrive Here If You...

  • Love solving challenging technical problems.
  • Are naturally curious and enjoy figuring out how things work.
  • Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what needs improving.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Like seeing the direct results of your work.
  • Want to build a long-term engineering career with increasing responsibility.
  • Value teamwork, collaboration, and learning from experienced professionals.

What You'll Gain

This isn't a role where you'll spend years doing the same work.

You'll gain experience leading:

  • New product commercialization
  • Manufacturing process optimization
  • Automation and productivity improvements
  • Facility and equipment expansions
  • Capital investment projects
  • Cross-functional engineering initiatives

You'll build technical expertise while developing leadership, project management, and business skills that will help shape your future career.

What's In It For You

We're committed to investing in our people and providing an environment where you can grow both professionally and personally.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Employer-matched RRSP program
  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Hands-on mentorship from experienced engineering leaders
  • A growing, innovative manufacturing company where your work has real impact
  • The opportunity to help create sustainable products used by customers around the world
