Job description
Generations Cleaning is currently seeking an experienced Cleaning Lead Hand to join our team at a large warehouse facility in Ajax, Ontario.This is a full-time leadership role for a motivated cleaning professional who enjoys leading by example, maintaining high standards, and supporting the development of cleaning staff.
Position Details:
  • Location: Ajax, ON
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour
  • Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning duties throughout the facility, including:
  • Warehouse areas.
  • Washrooms.
  • Cafeteria and lunchroom areas.
  • Offices.
  • Entrances and common areas.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to company and client standards.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new cleaning staff.
  • Provide guidance, support, and coaching to existing team members.
  • Monitor cleaning quality and address performance concerns as required.
  • Communicate supply requirements and submit supply orders to the office.
  • Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and operational needs.
  • Support site management in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized facility.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, attendance, and work quality.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial cleaning experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Lead Hand, Supervisor, or Team Lead experience in a commercial cleaning environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and support team members.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
