As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be a primary driver of our "Automation First" strategy. This role is weighted heavily toward technical development (70% Automation / 30% Manual), focusing on building robust, scalable frameworks for our web and mobile ecosystems. You will leverage modern tools like Playwright, WebDriverIO, and Appium 2.0 while actively integrating Generative AI tools to optimize our testing lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Automation Framework Development (70%):
Design and maintain end-to-end automation suites for web applications using Playwright and TypeScript.
Architect mobile automation for iOS and Android using WebDriverIO + Appium 2.0.
Develop and scale automation for managing large-scale device fleets, focusing on firmware stability and edge-to-cloud connectivity.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, high-quality deployments.
AI Implementation & Strategy:
Implement AI-driven testing tools (e.g.,Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini) to enhance script maintenance, generate synthetic test data, and enable self-healing test suites.
Utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate test case generation and automate the transformation of manual test steps into TypeScript code.
Explore AI for visual regression testing to ensure UI consistency across various mobile screen sizes and web browsers.
Manual & Exploratory Testing (30%):
Conduct high-impact manual testing for complex new features, including smoke, sanity, and user-centric acceptance testing.
Perform rigorous exploratory testing on physical hardware integrations and mobile-specific hardware triggers (NFC, BLE).
Defect Management: Lead the bug life cycle by providing deep-dive technical analysis, logs, and reproducible steps for engineering teams.
Performance Monitoring: Determine and define performance and load testing requirements based on product requirements.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a proven transition into deep automation engineering.
Technical Core:
Expertise in TypeScript: Deep proficiency in writing clean, reusable, and modular code for automation.
Modern Web Testing: Advanced experience with Playwright.

Platform Tools: Hands-on experience with Xcode and Android Studio/ADB for debugging and profiling.
AI & Innovation:
Practical experience using AI tools for code generation, test optimization, or automated bug reporting.
Familiarity with leveraging AI for predictive analytics (e.g., identifying high-risk areas of the codebase for targeted testing).
IoT/Hardware: Experience testing hardware-integrated systems, firmware updates, or IoT device orchestration.
Cloud / SaaS Testing: Experience testing cloud-managed web applications, including multi-tenant environments, API integrations, and real-time data flows.
