Our ideal candidate has experience with expense and FTE forecasting, planning, consolidation, cost allocation and analysis for large, complex organizations.

A self-starter with excellent Excel, analytical, communication and quantitative skills, and holds either a CPA, CFA or MBA

Develops detailed financial and economic analysis to assist the designated business portfolio with decision support. Works closely with business leaders and Finance partners to provide financial advice and service that supports the financial management activities of the Group / portfolio.

Supports the monitoring and management of financial performance against plans, forecasts, initiatives and objectives. Generates information and insights that support key business decisions to drive value (e.

g., cost management, resource allocation, etc.)

  • Supports / Leads financial planning, forecasting and performance reviews that utilize plan, forecast and actual financial information to develop annual plans and targets.
  • Performs variance analyses, and ad-hoc forward-looking analyses to improve understanding of business drivers as well as opportunities to improve performance for product improvement, profit improvement, financial impact of initiatives / strategic business decisions.
  • Supports the development of methodologies and policies to enable analyses and insights focused on financial dimensions (e.

g., expenses, FTEs, cost allocation, etc.).

  • Determines the financial impact of initiatives / strategic business decisions, and incorporate the impacts into future financial forecasts / plans.
  • Assesses reasonableness of business cases and performs due diligence during Investment reviews and approvals processes.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide financial insights and recommendations.
  • Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
  • Integrates information from multiple sources (e.g. financial and operational systems) to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and / or streamlined reporting.
  • Acts as a trusted financial advisor to assigned business / group.
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
  • Focus is primarily on business / group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications :

  • Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.

  • Data driven decision making - In-depth.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and summarize key findings
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes and terminology
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task and work on multiple ongoing projects
  • Able to meet deadlines and have the ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments including Controller, T&O, and HR

Technical Skills :

  • In-depth knowledge of Excel a MUST
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Anaplan, Oracle or other accounting software tools preferred

Compensation and Benefits :

$74,800.00 - $138,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
